S4 Tables are available in many different materials for various
requirements: Steel, stainless steel and hardened steel. Two
sizes are also available in cast-iron. If you require other sizes
in cast-iron, please send us your enquiry.

Steel
Type St52/3 steel is used to produce the S4 Welding and Clamping Systems.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel tables of DIN 1.4301 quality are frequently used in industry. Because
of the constant price fluctuations in the raw material area, we are unable to indicate
any prices at this time. The prices are somewhere between 4 and 6 times that of a
normal steel table. Please feel free to send us your enquiry so we can send you a
quotation.
Cast-Iron
Only graphite cast-iron, quality GGG40, is used for the cast-iron tables. Quality is very
important to us; this is why we purchase our cast iron raws only from certified cast
iron plants.
HARDOX*
Bernd Siegmund GmbH is the only manufacturer to offer a table made of extremely
resilient HARDOX specialized steel. A 25 mm thick HARDOX slab as a table top is
frequently used for applications in which the table is exposed to extremely high loads.
HARDOX special steel excels because of its extraordinary flatness, even surface
quality and high resistance to the effects of impacts. HARDOX steel is considerably
harder and more resistant than normal steel.
*HARDOX is a registered trademark of SSAB steel from Sweden
Plasma nitriding
Plasma nitriding turns your table into an extremely easy-care and powerful partner
for your everyday welding work. Only plasma nitriding protects welding spatters from
sticking both to the table surface as well as in the system drill holes. As a result, the
table is not only more resistant against scratches, but also more resistant to rust. This
increases the service life and therefore the economic efficiency of your table.
